Practising Sensory Motions :
Ever wonder why children keep mouthing things or kicking and stumbling upon the most obvious things? It’s how they experience the world and how their brain understand the surroundings. Each experience is sensed by the brain by either of the 5 senses; touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing.
To ensure better brain development involve your child in to doing things that involve using one or more senses at a time. This helps them activate their sense repeatedly and hence triggering different parts of the brain.
Any activity we do creates a memory in the brain and it’s stored in a new neuron (brain cell). The more your kid experiences the better his sense becomes and create new brain cells.
A mere ball catching game activates touch and sight sensory parts of the brain. Similarly eating healthy food with different tastes enhances the sense of taste.
